The casual visit will involve a tour of the School accompanied by currently pursuing students followed by a general discussion with the Principal. Our courteous administrative officers and the other staff members will assist you in the process. Interest in joiningis growing annually. It is therefore important to register early and make your decision. Registration reserves a provisional place dependent upon a good school report (if enrolled elsewhere) and an interview.

 

 

Introduction

Admission to Sudhakar’s Mahita High School not only depends on the examination results. Although a satisfactory result is expected in the common admission test, the other focal points for acceptance are sound character and willingness to work together with the greed to make the best out of what we offer. A genuine wish to be a part of SMHS is a bonus!

Age Requirement

Subjecting to availability of seats at Sudhakar’s Mahita High School, we admit all the students within the normal range of ability. Normal minimum ages as on 30th Aug. in the academic year of entry are as follows:

•  Class IV : 8 + years
•  Class V : 9 + years
•  Class VI : 10 + years
•  Class VII : 11 + years
•  Class VIII : 12 + years
•  Class IX : 13 + years
•  Class X : 14 + years

Introduction

For the current Academic year, i.e., 2025-2026 , Sudhakar’s Mahita High School, Vijayawada offers admissions from classes I to XII. Admissions for students from Class I to VIII are based purely on personal interaction with students’ parents/guardians followed by careful observation of the students and review of the same given by the assigned teachers. For students seeking admission to Classes IX and above are required to appear for a written test followed by an interview accompanied by their parents/guardian, upon clearing the written test.

Application Forms

Application for Admission forms are issued in person or by post for Enquiry at Sudhakar’s Mahita High School, Vijayawada. Representatives are handed over the application form, only after the name of the child, class for which admission is sought and date of birth, are clearly specified.
Due to the outgrowing number of applicants as against the number of seats available, a waiting list system will be in function. Therefore, parents are kindly advised to apply for admission at the earliest.
Assessment for admission will be followed by an interview and will take place on a first-come-first-served basis subjecting to the availability of the seats. Applications will be issued on request of the parents.
Parents/ guardians are required to furnish all the information / documentation sought by the Admissions Department for a proper assessment.
The Admissions Department holds the authority to invite the candidate for an admission test/observation and the parents or authorized representatives for the registration process.
Students are enrolled for the classes by the end of April, but will be placed in a Class according to the determination by the administration and relevant staff. The Principal’s decision in such matters will be final.

Entrance Test

Classes IV and above
Students seeking admission to Classes IV and above are required to appear for a written test and upon clearing the same, they will be considered fit to appear for the next level which is an interview. Students should attend the Test/Interview along with their parents. Test will be conducted based on the previous class syllabus.
Duration of the test is typically 1 ½ hours to 2 hours evaluated for 100 Marks.

Subjects for the entrance test for C.B.S.E. (Class IV to IX) are

  • English

  • Telugu

  • Hindi

  • Mathematics

  • Social

  • Science

  • General Knowledge 

    A student is considered selected, if he/she secures 60% and above in the Entrance Test.

Registration

When a student’s application for admission has been approved, the parent/guardian is expected to make fee payment within a week’s time. This completes their registration process and the students are then considered formally a part of the SMHS student community.

Documentation

The following are the documents to be enclosed along with the application form.

  • Attested copy of the Birth Certificate,

  • Copies of the candidate’s school reports and transcripts for the current year and/or completed year (in English). Additionally, a bonafide certificate from the School in which the candidate is studying may be submitted,

  • 3 Passport-size colour photographs of the candidate,

  • Transfer Certificate

Please note that the admission procedure will be considered incomplete unless the Transfer/Birth certificate of the ward is produced.
